Message from the Head of School

Thank you for taking the time to explore Summit View, where we offer a college preparatory curriculum to elementary through high school students with language-based learning differences and/or ADHD. We offer two campuses, one in Valley Glen and one in Culver City. Students are either funded through private tuition or via their school district.

Beginning with a multi-sensory elementary program focusing on reading, language arts, and math fundamentals, through a middle school and high school program following the California State Framework, Summit View’s program is designed to create well-rounded students equipped with the necessary foundation, confidence, and self-advocacy skills to be successful in their future endeavors.

Our strong academic program is balanced with fun and rewarding enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities including athletics, the arts, community service, and an outdoor experiential learning program. Our students gain a great deal outside of the classroom as well as at their desks!

As a WASC accredited school, Summit View strives to create self-reliant learners who are literate and productive citizens of society. Our classes have no more than 14 students, with two educators per class – a special education credentialed teacher as well as a teaching assistant. Our program offers clinical services that are built into the school day including speech and language, occupational therapy, and school-based counseling. Our highly qualified faculty stays abreast of best practices through regular professional development and utilize innovative methodology and programs including project-based learning, assistive technology, blended-learning, and mindfulness.

Our graduates attend colleges including UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, USC, a wide array of California State Universities and community colleges as well as other reputable public and private colleges throughout the United States.

Summit View offers a strong sense of community through its warm and nurturing environment and annual social events. We take great pride in being one of the most diverse schools in terms of learning, demographics, and cultural differences.

We invite you to attend one of our many Open Houses to experience this place we call home. Open Houses are held weekly at each site. Please call the admissions office for the specific day and time (818-779-5262).

We look forward to meeting you!
